About Us
The Perthmore Community Association is dedicated to making a positive impact in our community. We believe that community concerns are handled better when neighbours gather to speak, ensuring that everything we do reflects our commitment to making our neighbourhood the best it can be for all residents.
Our Story
The current edition of the Perthmore Community Association began in 2017 in response to neighbourhood concerns with development plans. When certain Perthmore residents became aware of the Phase V development plans of the long time developer of the Perthmore Glen subdivision they were concerned enough to resurrect the Perthmore Community Association that had long been disbanded after an earlier group of Perthmore residents had first formed an association in response to the same developer's earlier phases of development.
Our Vision
The residents of Perthmore are in favour of further development in the community as we realize new housing units must be built to accommodate families wishing to move to Perth. Our vision of the community is to work with the Town of Perth, the developer and the residents to achieve the best and most vibrant community that all Perthmore residents would be proud to call home.
Meet our team
The PCA Board is composed entirely of volunteers who step forward each year at the AGM to become a Street Representative for a street in the Perthmore Glen subdivision of Perth, Ontario. At the first PCA Board meeting after the AGM, the first Thursday in October, the Street Reps gather together and ask for volunteers to fill the Executive positions of Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer and Secretary although sometimes the Tresurer and Sectretary positions can be filled by one person. All members of the Board are equal in status and voting although an Executive must be named for contact and finance purposes. At each AGM the existing PCA Board Members are asked if they wish to continue in their position and new volunteers are invited to become Street Reps, especially if some streets are without a representative or could use a second representative. Please meet the 2025/2026 PCA Board Members.
